[Akko's suggestion came from what she felt was probably reasonable since she doesn't know where Lance lives and doesn't necessarily want him hiking all the way across town only to backtrack to find the aforementioned variety of bakery. But since he seems okay with that possibility, she forwards her address to Lance and gets herself ready to head out.]
[She waits outside her apartment building, staying a little off the street so as not to be in the way of the pedestrian traffic and glancing around since she's uncertain which direction he might come from. Eventually, she spots him and stands on her tiptoes (...which really doesn't make her all that much taller) and waves her hand enthusiastically.]
[ he meets her promptly, because makes it a point not to keep cute girls like akko waiting!! so when he sees her wave, he waves back at her with an award-winning smile. or, well, the most award-winning one he can manage. ]
Hey, Akko! You ready to do this thing? Maybe we can convince them to do a two-for-one deal again!
[ said with a slightly mischievous grin on his face. wuh-oh. ]
[Akko likes the suggestion a lot because she's about that life of getting more food for your buck, but laughs a little all the same. It seems a little more wishful thinking than reality.]

[ at that, he chuckles. yeah, this is all wishful thinking, but it makes for fun conversation. he really did have a good time with her at that festival. ]

[ he turns towards the city and gestures towards it with his head. ]

[ lance isn't one to leave things silent for too long, so whenever the walk begins, he turns towards her once more. ] So how've you been? Got any fun stories to share about your time here yet?
[Akko lets Lance take the lead for just a moment when he motions for them to get going before she takes a quick one-two step to fall in pace beside him.]
I’ve been alright, [she says with a small nod.] I mean, all the weird Monster stuff aside, anyway.
[She leans a little closer to him, speaking in a lower voice as though telling him a secret.]
I grew a tail this month.

She’s had to find clothes that accommodate for it because even if it’s not long like a lot of the other Monster tails, one day of having it just stuffed in pants and another trying it under a skirt before it was enough for Akko. So, it’s not like it’s not there in plain view now. But still! It feels a little weird to talk about growing things like that.]
[Straightening up, she continues with a slight sigh,]
It’s been rough finding regular work though. I, uh, maybe got fired again...
[ granted, he doesn't have his tail out right now since they're on land. he sure does have a shark tail in the water, though. for that, he's grateful, because legs and also not having to worry about leaving a hole in his pants for it.
though at the mention of her being fired, he raises an eyebrow and squints at her. just a teeny bit. ]
[Akko's cheeks turn a little pink for a moment as it turns out that she does indeed possess a modicum of shame sometimes.]
The shopowner was this really mean old lady and I didn't like the way she was talking to my coworker. So, I don't know. I got mad and I stole her glasses! I mean, I didn't mean to take them? It just sorta happened. [Those Puca instincts, man...] Anyway, I couldn't really find them, so...
[Akko holds up both hands, shaking her head furiously.]
I'm not usually like that! I mean, I don't like it when people act like jerks like that, but I wouldn't steal like that usually.
[It's one thing to enact petty revenge on someone where you do something like a small prank to embarrass them a little if trying to speak up isn't working. It's another to go so far as to steal and hide something from them. It's one of the few firings she's gone through that she feels is... Well, it's honestly fair.]
[ he can't help but laugh a little; that sheepish look on her face is hard to stay huffy at, and he folds his arms over his chest. honestly, he can't even blame her for it. ]
Might just come with being a puca. Trust me, I feel you on the whole "stealing" thing. I got caught in the act more than once myself!
[Akko's genuinely a little surprised by that. Lance definitely strikes her as someone willing to bend the rules, but maybe not quite enough to go full-on breaking them. So, she's immediately curious.]
